Dr. Luise Drane is a native of Pensacola, Florida. Prior to completing her Bachelor of Science degree in biology at the University of West Florida, Dr. Drane was a registered dental hygienist. In 1987 she earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Michigan State University then went on to Auburn University's veterinary teaching hospital for a 1 year internship in small animal surgery and medicine. Having lived in both the North and South, Dr. Drane found Atlanta's climate “just right” and has been practicing veterinary medicine here since 1988. She currently lives in Sandy Springs with her husband, Bob, and their 2 cats, Kato and Flash.

Francine Heath is our clinic's Receptionist. She hails from Pittsburgh, Pa, and was a licensed practical nurse for 20 years before coming to Georgia in 1999. Francine has been a team member since July 2004. Francine's hobbies include reading and playing Bingo. She's also the proud owner of four cats, Baby Kitty, Gushy, Runner, and Scaredy Cat. The joy of being in contact with animals and educating our clients on a daily basis is what brings her to work everyday.

Joy Murphy has been employeed with Buckwood Pet Hotel Since June 2005 and has been in the pet hotel industry since moving to Atlanta from Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1998. Joy specializes in German Shepherd Dogs and has trained them for obediance, agility, tracking and schuthund. While in Michigan Joy raised German Shepherd Dogs, Persians, California Giant Rabbits and Arabian Horses at her family owned "Petra Kennels". Joy currently owns a Standard Poodle named "Graffiti".

Keith Noble is our Senior Kennel Tech and our "handy man". He is favorite among our clients and knows every animal who vacations with us by name and as well as their personalities and special needs. Keith is a former dog trainer and is very knowledgeable in dog behavior and temperament. Keith owns three dogs named Aggi, Baby and Jake. Keith lives next door to Buckwood Pet Hotel in case an emergency arises.

Dishanah Smith has always loved dogs and believes she may be "part dog". You will always find "Shon" doing playtimes, nature walks or some other activity to keep our guests entertained.

Lucy Brown started working at Buckwood Pet Hotel in March 2007. She has been an animal lover since having her first dog named Lucky when she was five years old. She currently has one dog named Smoke and three cats names Dash, Tom and Jerry.
